Woot Woot! Double digits here we are! AND I had a wonderful, RAW, no-cheating-kind-of Day 9! Day 10 anyone?
DAY 10
1. Daily Affirmation:
” I am eating to thrive, not just survive.”
Hopefully, you are not doing this cleanse to just torture yourself with raw foods. My hope for you is a lifetime full of life-filled, enzyme-rich raw vegetables that will drive your energy levels through the roof, revitalize your skin, and cleanse every cell in your body. I have been mostly raw for two-and-a-half years now and will NEVER go back to the way I ate “pre-cancer.” It was a gradual uphill climb to get here, but my food addictions, toxic body chemistry, and cancer all were shed along the way. I truly believe you could have the same results if you continue this lifestyle after the cleanse. Just keeping to a green smoothie for breakfast, a BIG, FILLING salad for lunch, and a nutrient dense mostly vegan or vegetarian dinner that will rock your socks off. I’ll give you some recipe suggestions later this week. If meat is your thing- you can have a it a few times a week, but not every night like many of us are used to. AND it must be raised in its natural environment: free-range, wild, etc. After all, you are eating to THRIVE and not just survive.
2. Today’s Menu:
Breakfast- green tea, Pango Smoothie (2 peaches- pitted, 1 cup of mango, 1 banana, 4-5 leaves Chard, about 2 cups of water)
Snack- continue with smoothie, piece of fruit if needed.
Lunch- BIG salad (1 head chopped romaine, 1 chopped tomato, 1/2 yellow bell pepper, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 diced cucumber, 1/2- 1 cup sprouted or cooked lentils, 1/2 cup almonds, 1/4 cup red onion, 1/2 cup blueberries, olive oil/ vinegar)
Snack- 1 sliced apple and almond butter, Red-Green Juice (1 beet, 4 sticks celery) Use juicer. Add a few carrots for a sweeter juice if you’d like!
Dinner- Green Delicious Smoothie (5 kale leaves with stems, 1/2 avocado, 3 garlic cloves, 1/2 lime juiced, 1/2 tsp sea salt, 2 Roma tomatoes, 1/2 pepper, 2 carrots, water as desired.)
Dessert- naturally caffeine free herbal tea
3. Daily Questions:
Can you visualize yourself 3 months down the road still eating mostly raw?
Do you feel like a smoothie for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and a nutrient rich mostly vegetarian dinner is reasonable for you long-term?
I believe you’re right for you, for now. Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, who advocates a building diet for her patients, says about her diet and cancer: “The Gaps diet is not recommended for those with cancer, since it is high protein and that will encourage cancer to grow (not verbatim)” She also says the vegan or vegetarian is the way to go to detox, but when those on such diets start to feel they are weakening, it’s time to go on a building diet, that is, red meat from pastured animals, eggs and chicken, butter from pastured cows, kefir from raw milk and the best yogurt imaginable, some added cream, raw milk heated to 180 degrees, cool to 104-110, add only one tablespoon of plain yogurt and in 4 to 8 hours, yogurt like you’ve never had unless you’ve done it this way. Sandor Katz method. Raw milk yogurt is odd, it’s a competing game between enzymes and lactic acid and since enzymes from fruits and vegetables serve us well, the lactic acid in this yogurt method is ideal. The trouble vegans and vegetarians have eventually is one of constant detox and cleansing and this cannot be sustained, one has to turn to our nature, at least in nearly every case. You may be different, but the day may come when you need some building to do and B12 is not found in fruits and vegetables nor is Vitamin A, beta-carotene, yes, but that has to be converted. The best medical advice I’ve found is at GAPsdiet.com. Go to FAQs, then to ctrl 5 at the same time and type in the word you want accessed in the box, hit enter and the journey will be appreciated I’m sure. It’s great to see you had the courage, the discipline and the outcome. Congratulations. Those who were chopped, radiated, cut, all in the name of modern medicine pay dearly for the rest of what often turns out to be a short and miserable life.
Hi Robert- thanks for the comment. After reading your comment I journeyed over to Dr. Campbell-McBride’s webpage to educate myself on GAPS. She includes an introductory diet in addition to her GAPS Diet for people with digestive issues. I had digestive issues when I began my raw, vegan diet with Cottage Cheese/ Flaxseed Oil to fight cancer which wasn’t improved until I received colon cleansing. I wonder if a few weeks on her introductory diet would have helped? Hmm.
This 14 Day Cleanse is not intended to fight cancer, but it more for non-cancer patients to cleanse and eat well for two weeks on food from the earth. Also, you mentioned about me not receiving enough B12, but if you read carefully on my https://www.anticancermom.com/how-i-beat-cancer page, you will see that I eat wild wish and meats several times a week now, almost 4 years after my cancer diagnosis.
Followed for 2 meals today, then made a raw burritos recipe I found for dinner. Avacado, tomato, scallion, bell pepper, carrot, and cilantro with squeezed lime + sunflowers and sprouts wrapped in romaine leaves. Yummy and filling!
Oh yes, I LOVE Kristen Suzanne. She has fabulous raw recipes. Her e-cookbooks are amazing. I forgot she had a video about cutting the coconuts. Thanks for the reminder! Pam
I use that coconut for drinking … sometimes there is some “flesh” lining that can be used for a treat or you can put it in a smoothie.
The electrolytes in the coconut water are very compatible with human blood, and the water is used in 3 world countries for hydration , infused directly into a vein ( through a filter)

What are you making with Tai coconuts, and how do you open them?
