Holiday Gift Idea: Winter Wellness Baskets

Organic_Gift_Basket

I follow several blogs in the natural health world, and I’m seeing that ’tis the season for an awesome list of healthy gift suggestions! I would love to offer my ideas as well, but honestly- I really haven’t bought any new, healthy stuff lately. I already have my staples for the kitchen, make most of my own hygiene and beauty products, and overall am a minimalist in nature, so I only buy what I need and what is useful. It’s also a season of survival and routine in my house of two small children and a baby on the way in 12 weeks, so my idea for you today is one that I actually loved doing two years ago: WINTER WELLNESS BASKETS!

Winter Wellness Baskets:

Below you can find some ideas and suggestions for what to put in your basket, but it’s really up to you. I’d love to see your pictures, too if you create your own baskets this holiday season. I tried to find the pictures I took of my baskets two years ago, but in typical “me” fashion, I can’t find them. I could keep looking or get this post out before Christmas! The good news is, if you’re not wanting to make your own baskets, the above basket is for sale through Amazon.com for less than $40.

Much of what I buy to put in my baskets are from Vitacost.com because it remains the most affordable place online to buy holistic and natural health products. If you’re a first time buyer there, you can use my coupon code to receive $10 off!

The great part about these baskets is you can spend how little or how much you would like. I received such wonderful feedback from my family and friends who received these because they were useful after Christmas for pesky winter illnesses. I also included a card that I wrote the health benefits for each item and how to use it included in the basket. You will definitely want to include this and can see an example of what I wrote HERE. Otherwise, your loved one won’t know how to use each item and get the results you know the product offers.

***Please note that the below items were chosen for their thriftiness-to-health-benefit ratio. I settled on products that were moderately priced and still contained the health benefit for my loved ones.***

  1. Courtney I would love to ask you a few questions regarding your healing journey. I am on the Energy Soup but I am a little scared to try the Budwig Cottage Cheese Flax mixture. I am a blood type A and most literature says that my blood type does not mix well with cottage cheese. Also the china study info scared me about the casein study. I know you had great success with the ccfo – Are you a blood type A? Can you please let me know?

    • Hey Leslie- I am A+ blood type and responded extremely well to the Budwig mixture. I consider that and Essiac to be my top 2 “offensive tactics” against cancer. I haven’t fully read The China Study but I’ve seen several of Dr. Campbell’s talks. When he discusses casein and the dangers of dairy in general, I don’t think he is putting conventional garbage dairy in with the dairy and sulfuric protein in organic dairy that is only being used in small doses as a carrier for the flax seed oil to penetrate into the cancer cell. Just my thoughts. (:

    • Sorry to keep asking you question! How long did you do the ccfo mixture everyday for? When you started a maintenance dose how often was it and how much? Do you still do the large smoothie of energy soup everyday? We’re you able to let your hair down a little eventually with eating- does the fear ever go away? ty
